In the town of Hawkins, Indiana, a 12-year-old boy has mysteriously disappeared. His mother and friends then embark on an investigation, going much deeper than they thought when they begin to uncover a government conspiracy and meet a psychokinetic girl who knows the whereabouts of their missing friend.
